Without the help of our amazing volunteers, Basin United would not be able to offer the quality programs we provide to our community. Basin United has many front-line volunteer positions, such as a Team Coach, as well as some behind the scene positions. Please browse below for our open positions. Recreation Team Coach- This person will be the Head Coach for their chosen Recreation team. They will be responsible for organizing and running practice sessions, managing their team and fans during games, and communicating with Basin United and players. No experience is necessary; however, Basin United is offering coaching clinics over the summer, so contact us if you are interested.
Recreation Asst. Coach/ Team Manager- This person will assist the Head Coach with any aspect of team management. Most of the time this person is someone who does not have the time to help all the time, but wants to help when they can.
Grade Division Coordinator- Basin United is bringing back the volunteer position of Division Coordinator. Each Division Coordinator will assist the Director of Recreation in recruiting coaches for their division and handling routine questions, such as game and practice schedules. The Divisions are Grasshopper (ages 2-5), Kindergarten, 1/2 Grade, 3/4 Grade, 5/6 Grade, and 7/8 Grade. We are currently looking for Coordinators in most Divisions.
Fields Manager- The Fields Manager will assist by making sure all the fields are properly equipped before each game, as well as assist with clean-up at the end. This will include setting corner flags, moving goals to the proper location, and marking 1/2 Grade fields with cones. This person is encouraged to build a group of other volunteers and contacts to come out and help, so people skills and organization are a must. The more people who can help, the faster the set-up goes and the easier this is for everyone.
Equipment Manager- The Equipment Manager will assist the Director of Recreation with organizing the equipment for the Recreational League. This will include conducting inventory, assisting with check-out of equipment, and helping re-organize the equipment when it has been returned. Since this position is only active before and after the season, this person may wish to add additional duties at their request.
General Office Support/ Concessions- This is a general opening for anyone you wishes to help Basin United offer expanded office hours, as well as help staff the concession stand in the Fieldhouse on the weekend. This position allows more flexibility and would allow Basin Untied to better serve our increasing membership. Experience in an office setting is not necessary, we will offer training. Some special duties that may be assigned include scheduling teams for pictures, dispersing flyers to schools, walking fields during game day and handing out flyers.
All volunteers are required to complete an annual background check, attend volunteer orientation, and sign a Code of Conduct, as well as pass the NFHS Concussions in Youth Sports course yearly. This course can be found by CLICKING HERE.
